The Dinosaur - Deinonychus

Although it was considered little for a dinosaur, this meat-eater with the terrible claws was one of the fiercest dinosaurs that ever lived.

Deinonychus Skeleton

By hunting in packs, it could attack and kill prey much larger than itself and may even have eaten animals that were already dead.

Deinonychus Foot Each hand had three fingers with a sharp, curved claw and each foot had three toes – one of which was a most distinctive long, curved claw which became its most deadly weapon.

The Deinonychus had a large head and jaws packed with sharp teeth with serrated edges which gave it a fearsome, snapping bite!
