How Big
The Dinosaur - Giganotosaurus
It's hard to believe but the famous T.Rex, King of the Carnivores, was not the biggest meat-eating dinosaur to ever live!
A fellow called Giganotosaurus takes that title. This massive meat-eater was about 5 feet longer than T.Rex and weighed an incredible 8 tonnes.
Although Giganotosaurus was bigger, T.Rex was still thought to be the stronger of the two and definitely the smarter. Giganotosaurus had a brain the size of a cucumber!
So T.Rex is certainly still the meanest meat-eater ever especially when you consider the following amusing fact. Some scientists think that because of its massive weight and short arms a Giganotosaurus wouldn't be able to get up if it fell down! How's that for a design fault!!
